I just can’t believe how cold it has been this last month, apart from that one nice weekend. Since it has been colder I decided to try a layered spring look which gives you some flexibility during the day for those weird change in temperature we’ve been experiencing. I’ve gone with a try on a classic trend for this look, Jean and Neutral Tones. All this outfit needed to be paired down with this tailored pant suit and vest was a jean shirt and kicks. Adding casual components to a suit or suit jacket is the best way to be a well put together and well dressed gent.
There is a subtle art to layering and I can say that one of the most important aspects is to have fun with textures, prints and fabrics. For this outfit, I choose classic neutral colored fabrics, but the jean shirt and the kicks being the same color tie the whole outfit together. On cold spring days, I like to dip into my early fall wardrobe, my light jackets and light knit shirts and such. Finding key pieces that are malleable to major seasonal mood swings is always good.
