Summer is about to come to an end and that means that some of us will be entering a new stage of life. Once college or university has ended, it is time to pound the pavement and start interviewing and working. Having affordable yet stylish shoes is important for this next stage of life.
STEP INTO YOUR CAREER, IN STYLE.
I’ve partnered with Skechers this fall to bring you some styling tips and outfit ideas for this upcoming season. Consider more timeless pieces and comfortable options as well. Some of you have just finished school and are entering a new phase in life. Instead of going back to school, there are those that are beginning a new job.
Entering the workforce can be intimidating and stressful and on top of all that you will probably have to revamp your closet as well. Wearing the same sweatpants everyday will not do, so you have to step things up for your new adult job. Dark denim and a long jacket should be a staple for any stylish, grown man. Most importantly, keep the look fresh with a pair of crisp sneakers. Who said you had to wear stiff leather dress shoes to the office? The key to wearing sneakers to the office is keeping them clean. Don’t wear the same shoes you bring to the gym. I chose the Modern Jogger in Grey for my work outfit. I like how these fit comfortably and have minimalist styling. Believe it or not, these ones are slip on which makes it easy to put on and jet out the door for work.
For my second look, I decided to go for a relaxed, weekend vibe. Weekends are for walking around and exploring the city. Living downtown is the best in the fall, and I love to walk around shopping and seeing the sites. It’s the perfect time to run little errands while simultaneously trying to unwind from the long work week.
Mark Nason for Skechers is one of my favorites, and has been a go to in the past. Check out the last time I wore them, here. Fall will always be a denim daze, as it is the perfect fabric for the season. It’s heavy enough for a chilly night but still breathable. Weekends are the best time to rock a Canadian Tux, and denim-on-denim will never die. Pair this look will these sleek boots and you have a comfortable and stylish look.
